The
photography community in Mammoth Lakes is large and
well-known in the landscape photography genre. Some
of the best are from this area and work shooting in
"The Range of Light" John Muir Trail. Originally
one of the first was Ansel Adams, probably the greatest
black and white photographer of the last century. His
work of Yosemite and the Sierras is recognized around
the world. His granddaughter, Sara Adams, has an art
gallery at Mono Lake and a restaurant, The Mono Inn.
Vern
Clevenger
One of the area's best known photographers, Vern is
featured in the gallery at Sierra Design Studio. He
lives in Bishop and is a former "big wall"
climber in Yosemite. Vern, his wife Margaret and their
children are longtime friends of Robin.
John
Dittli
John is another local favorite. He has captured an incredible
light in his "Minaret Vista" image.
Bonnie
Colgan
Her images have been a great success in the studio.
Great locations with memorable points of interest make
her one of Mammoth's favorite photographers. |
