of our favorite artists is Douglas Van Howd. His sculptures
are found around the world in life-size monuments of wildlife
art. An extraordinary artist, his sculpture is on display at
the Sierra Design Studio art gallery. His maquettes of the Woolly
Mammoth have been a favorite of many art collectors around Mammoth.
The
life size sculpture of the Woolly Mammoth is at the Main Lodge
at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area. A bronze bear is at the Canyon
Lodge and the latest "Eagle", is the focal point
of the new Little Eagle Lodge on Mammoth Mountain.
It's
a great honor to represent his fine work in Mammoth Lakes.
Other
sculptures available are open editions of Remingtons —
carvings in stone and wood of wildlife. Creatures, by local
