Sierra Design Studio specializes in remodeling residential homes, condominiums, and commercial projects. Kitchen and bathrooms are our specialties, as well as floor and wall coverings. We can provide the contractors for the project or can consult with the owners or owners' contractors for an hourly rate or per project.
 
Sierra Design Studio Store Remodel
   

The original Sierra Design Studio building was a warehouse type structure built in 1970. The 6,200' square foot building, located at 550 Old Mammoth Road in Mammoth Lakes, was originally a glass shop. Over the years it has housed everything from a real estate office (George Fowler's original office) to a donut shop, carpet store, secondhand clothing store, toy store and a car rental agency. The remodel began in 1999 and was completed in eight months by Al Preschutti Construction. The architectural design was by local Mammoth Lakes architect Elliot Brainard and Robin Stater, owner of Sierra Design Studio.
 
     
   
     

The exterior is in a "high camp" style with large log posts from the burn zone in Montana.
     
They are character logs with numerous knots and details for a rough look. The exterior log detail was constructed under the direction of local contractor, Frank Steward. The railing on the balcony is by Steward Bownes and is a creative application.
