This home,
with fantastic views of the Sherwin Mountains, was originally
built by John Hooper. The new owner wanted a comfortable family
retreat. The wife had definite taste in her style. At her
request, her favorite "leopard" patterned carpet
was used in the living room.
The owners
are collectors of fine art (they own a few art galleries)
and they chose to feature a few select pieces in their mountain
home. Hanging proudly above an antique console table is a
Leroy Heiman Cheetah. On either side of the painting are lamps
with custom hand painted leather shapes. The walls were "faux"
painted with a red leather texture.
Custom
log bunk beds sleep several children who love to snowboard.
Hand carved twin beds, in another guest bedroom, have a whimsical
look. In the master bedroom a log canopy bed is covered with
Ralph Lauren bedding. A custom log style dresser with a twig
willow mirror above adds to the rustic mountain look.
